Another Way to Construct Word Lists

bulletThis link takes you to a remarkable list of words developed by Laurence Murphy, through daily contact in his work place, fabricating parts for equipment used by disabled and handicapped people.  Fascinating on its own account, it will give ideas about developing similar lists with your own Student.  This section also includes and illustration of some of the materials used by Laurence in his work.

Writing and Reading

bulletThis section tells you why Amity refers to "Writing and Reading", rather than reading and writing.  It covers the importance of writing; forming basic letter shapes; the move to "joined up writing" (or cursive script); and advice and support for developing writing skills.  The section also included a detailed chart describing how to form letter shapes correctly.
