Introduction

This section of our Web Site provides help for Tutors in  adult literacy tuition with their Students.

Many of Amity's training and information sheets have been reformatted and are now displayed on the site.

In addition, Founding Organiser, Gladys Glascoe is writing a series of papers, mapping out the induction and training of a Volunteer over a typical twelve month period.   The first paper in the series was published in March 2000; further papers are being published at monthly intervals.  At the end of 12 months, the papers will be consolidated and published in hardcopy.

The Useful Links page lists links to other Web Sites which include statutory agencies, sister organisations, suppliers of literacy software and other literacy materials, together with other helpful sites.
